Quarantine Questions (redefined as Self-Isolating Questions)

Daily Quarantine Questions (redefined as Self-Isolating Questions)
1.  What am I ... GRATEFUL ... for today?
2.  Who am I ... CHECKING IN ON ... or ... CONNECTING WITH ... today?
3.  What expectations of "normal" am I ... LETTING GO OF ... today?
4.  How am I ... GETTING OUTSIDE ... today?
5.  How am I ... MOVING MY BODY ... today?
6.  What ... BEAUTY ... am I either creating, cultivating, or inviting in today?
Donna and I have shared activities people can do inside their own apartments.  I printed out some coloring pages related to Women's History Month, which you can print out for yourself by clicking on the pictures on my next day's blog post.  Then I posted them on the bulletin board for people to take, color, and bring back to let us all see their work.  They've been doing it!

Donna bought some word search books about famous women and ran off copies of pages to give people.  Since we aren't able to meet together, she's not distributing them as widely as she had hoped to do, but I took a couple of them at random:

Liliuokalani, Queen of Hawaii ~ I have a couple of books about her on my Kindle:
  1. Hawaii's Story by Hawaii's Queen ~ by Liliuokalani, 1898 (Kindle edition published in 2016), memoir
  2. Lost Kingdom: Hawaii's Last Queen, the Sugar Kings, and America's First Imperial Adventure ~ byJulia Flynn Siler, 2012, history
Michelle Obama ~ I recently read her memoir and bought her guided journal:
  1. Becoming ~ by Michelle Obama, 2018, memoir
  2. Becoming: A Guided Journal for Discovering Your Voice ~ by Michelle Obama, 2019, journal
I think it's interesting that I pulled out these two in particular.  Besides reading and (maybe) coloring one of my own pages from the bulletin board, I'm also writing blog posts.  THIS is what I really enjoy doing, when I'm spending lots of time alone in my apartment.  Oops!  Sorry, Clawdia.  Spending time with Clawdia in OUR apartment.  How are you spending your time?  I hope you are staying aware of social distancing.

Okay, how many of you will ask yourselves those "quarantine questions" each day?  I intend to start doing it daily, as a reminder of the good things in spite of the reality around here that I posted late last night.  Please share answers to ANY of those questions in the comments.  We'd all like to be reminded of the good things in life.

Hello Bonnie.
I am thinking of you and everyone in our Wednesday Gentle Chair Yoga class.

I received an email from Oasis that all classes are suspended until 5/11.

Can we still practice virtually via Zoom on Wednesdays at 10a from the comfort of the screen? I want to keep going until 4/29 or longer.

I have a list of the students who registered for the class and there a few telephone numbers. Can you get in touch with Sue and Judy (the twins)?

I am thinking I can call folks and see if they are interested in practicing via the computer.

Using zoom is easy (at least I think so). I can send the link and we can practice together.

What do you think?

Send me an email at hello@donnaraejones.com.

Take very good care.

I'm willing to learn about Zoom. I just talked to Judy, who will talk to Sue later and get back to me about it. The three of us are NOT morning people, so is there any chance we could do yoga later, maybe in the afternoon? If not, I'm willing to see what we can accomplish together. I can't speak for Judy and Sue. Does Zoom work with different devices? Judy (at least) doesn't have a computer, but I do have a laptop. I'll also email this to you.

I was surprised to find three Baggies in my Little Free Library yesterday. In each bag were all the necessary parts to make things. Our town's park and recreation department put them together and shared them in LFLs around our town.
