Friday Five ~ yard sales

I've taken part in two yard sales that I can remember.  When I sold my house in 1984 and went to seminary for my master's degree, my mother's best friend and I found an empty lot on a busy street and I came out of it okay. I made more than I expected, so I was satisfied.

Last May, I took part in my St. Elmo neighborhood's yard sale with three friends who shared my front lawn.  It was fun to be with them, but the actual sales were definitely not enough to say it was worth my time and effort.  However, I'm considering doing it again.  Why?  To get rid of my oppressive overload of books.
