Goals for this week:
Tuesday ~ walk in my neighborhood (cardio)
Wednesday ~ exercise with Melissa (strength)
Thursday ~ chair exercises and squats (endurance)
Friday ~ exercise band twists and pulls (flexibility)
Saturday ~ floor exercises (strengthen core)
Sunday ~ walk in my neighborhood (cardio)
Monday ~ chair exercises and squats (balance)
Here's a week's worth of challenging myself, since it apparently takes something like this to make myself exercise. My twice-a-week group let me down. When nobody showed up twice in a row, I called the whole thing off. Now I need to find a way to do it on my own. Maybe this will work.

Good plan! We'll have to bundle up for walks this week! I walked at about 1:30 today -- a bit earlier than sometimes but I wanted to take advantage of the brightest sunshine.
I was running errands in that sunshine, while you walked. I took our friend Donna to do some shopping while I ran to the U-City Library for a book. (Too bad that "ran" was not literal.) The book had been mis-shelved (spelling?), so Donna thought I got lost or ran into trouble when I didn't get back to pick her up in a timely fashion. I didn't get out to walk until about an hour ago. It was pretty chilly by then ... and dark ... so I didn't go as far or as long as I had planned.
Book on the wrong shelf?
I wrote mis-shelved, but Blogger (here) squiggled a line under "mis" until I added another "s" and left it as "miss-shelved." I googled the word and got a million opinions, but nothing definitive. They all agree, however, it's a word used by librarians. Which of these would YOU use?
mis-shelved
miss-shelved
mishelved
misshelved
etc.
Some even argued for dis-shelved, with one actually spelling that "disheveled." LOL.
Great plan. If I could just get myself to do a long walk a day things would be much better!
Helen, I looked at the weather forecast before picking TWO days to walk, the ones expected to be the warmest. You live in California, so think how lucky you are and go-go-go for those walks! You can do it! I know you can, since you completed the marathon and half-marathon walks!
