Thanks, Jan, but actually I'm happy that a church group bought the church where I grew up and that it will continue to be a church in that community.
Instead of a choir loft behind a pulpit, this Presbyterian group has a band at the left of this photo, which was taken before the service started. Their praise choir stood to the right (during the whole service), below that big banner, because words to the songs were projected in the big blank area.
tho i suspect that once the pews are full and the praise choir is in full voice 'serene' isn't the word you'd think first.
btw what ever became of the Church that had the fire around a year ago i think? i still remember the pics of the piles of scorched and soggy books. heartbreaking and nightmare inducing!

I like the changes and as you said, it's nice that it stays a church
such serenity exudes!
