Somebody said, "Treats." Is this the right blog?

Cool story, Bonnie, and it's a great word.
Man, I wish I could find a store like that near by. How cool would it be to wander in and lose yourself for a day? It reminds me of the bookstore in Neverending Story.
Thanks for the link.

Oh wow! What a brilliant story - thanks for passing that on, Bonnie!
What a neat story, she (the blogger) had to share about happening to wander into a book shop that caught her interest while on vacation and witnessing a man being reunited with a book he lost years ago. Talk about coincidence.
Bibliorphanage is a great word. I'll admit to reading to several times and trying to analysis the root, pre- and suf- fixes, etc. I had taken biblio- out and was boggled over where -rphanage came from and what it stood for, lol. Silly me!
I do wish we had a local independent book store near me. I make do with B&N. But it's a totally different experience.
CJ,
We have a used bookstore in Chattanooga that is so cluttered, with books in the floor and in no order I can understand, that I don't go back there. And another that is huge and crowded (good prices), but some avoid it because the layout is too complicated. Then there's A Novel Idea on the Northshore that is very good, but small. I like it best, but the trade-in rate is not as good as the huge place. Another used book store (well, two of them actually) have grumpy owners and I don't like to deal with them.
(LOL ... can you tell that I know all the bookstores in town?)
AbVan,
You're welcome. I loved the story myself.
Neco,
Words are my passion, so "bibliorphanage" jumped out at me. I would probably call it a "biblio-orphanage" if I ever opened another bookstore, so I could offer up my gently-read orphans for adoption.
Scrolling down, I thought the awning WAS a book! My favorite independent book store is in Asheville NC, called Malaprops.
