In my undergraduate philosophy classes, we talked about Plato and his theory of forms. There are lots of horses in the world, all different, but Plato envisioned a realm with an ideal horse. A perfect representation of a horse. To put it another way — the other way around, actually — what we see isn't real, but a mere copy of the ideal horse in that other realm. Every horse in the world has something of that ideal horse-ness.
On the other hand, when I post something like this on Facebook, we could call it horsing around. That would be the second definition here:
1. to join someone in boisterous play.
2. to be active in a silly way.
Yes, it feels silly to post a picture of a horse with the word "horse" on its side, but I love it! Silly me.
