Book Around the World blog this week, Amy recommended
1Q84 by Haruki Murakami as a good book for our Japan category. I used a different book cover to illustrate the post, but what fun to find a literary cat reading the same novel. The size of the book — at 1184 pages — intimidates me. Have you read this one? Is it worth the time it will take to read it?

My daughter in Seattle gave me 1Q84 on the day it was published, which was also my birthday, almost two years ago. I still haven't managed to read it. Let me know if you do!
