From scared and scrawny ...
... to cuddly cute, in less than a year.
Last July, I asked her if she wanted to come live with me.
She snuggled against my hand and chirped a "meow-WUP,"
which I took as a "yes."
Clawdia is the friendliest cat I've ever known,
running to our neighbors to be petted.

I've been thinking about pets a lot lately. Our poodle is turning 10 next month (we think) and I realize I could have him for 8 more years! He would be an amazing therapy dog; I tell people that he is a "people person," then realize he isn't a person :-)
ReplyDeleteI say I'm a cat person (mostly, even though I have also loved dogs), and Clawdia is a "people cat," one who loves people. Actually, I think of our pets as persons, just not human persons. They do have "personalities," right?
ReplyDeleteI think all good pet owners think of their animals as people at one time or another
