160 adult / YA booksSo I sorted them out by categories, though fewer than I show in my page of books read in 2011. It's already hard enough to read the categories below the colorful stacks on the chart.
+48 children's books
208 books read in 2011
Left to right, the categories are: fiction, YA, children's, memoir, religion, and other NF. Hmm, I didn't read as much in the field of religion as I thought I did.
72 fictionThis is my simplified chart, showing only fiction, nonfiction, and children's books. Looks like fiction, which includes adult fiction and YA fiction, is my main category.
38 YA
48 children's
13 memoir
08 religion
29 other NF

110 fictionWhat about you? Did you count how many you read in 2011?

Great charts! I just posted my end of the year in reading, taken from a survey on Perpetual Page Turner. It's a fun survey to do. I read 138 books this year, which is pretty good, but nowhere near your total!
ReplyDeleteMy total is more because I'm retired, and you are still working full time and being a mom full time. Your total is thus more fantastic than mine.
ReplyDeleteI feel like an elementary school student with my paltry 76. Must crack 100.
ReplyDeleteRyan, wait until you are retired, and then you can read and read and read. For now, don't worry about it. It's what you read that counts, not how many. I see on your blog that you read some really good books in 2011, like the last two: The Help and The Eyre Affair. It seems to me you are doing great.
