Gotcha Day ~ for Clawdia on Caturday

From scared and scrawny ...

... to cuddly cute, in less than a year.

Last July, I asked her if she wanted to come live with me.
She snuggled against my hand and chirped a "meow-WUP,"
which I took as a "yes."

Clawdia is the friendliest cat I've ever known,
running to our neighbors to be petted.

I've been thinking about pets a lot lately. Our poodle is turning 10 next month (we think) and I realize I could have him for 8 more years! He would be an amazing therapy dog; I tell people that he is a "people person," then realize he isn't a person :-)

I say I'm a cat person (mostly, even though I have also loved dogs), and Clawdia is a "people cat," one who loves people. Actually, I think of our pets as persons, just not human persons. They do have "personalities," right?

I think all good pet owners think of their animals as people at one time or another
