Sunday Salon ~ book nests

Which of these book nests is your favorite?  (I'm counting only the five people pods, not the cat's sleeping nook.)   The third and fifth — from the top — seem about the same to me.  Since I like to stretch out and get comfortable while reading, I pick the third — believing the guy in the green shirt has lots of room to stretch out his feet, if he chooses (unlike the girl propping her foot on a wall).  If you have an alternative suggestion for a book nest, please tell us about it.

WHAT I'M READING

Just finished
1.  Ming: A Novel of Seventeenth-Century China ~ by Robert B. Oxnam, 1994, fiction (China), 8/10
Currently
2.  Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe ~ by Benjamin Alire Saenz, 2012, YA fiction (Texas)
Next
3.  The Jesus Sutras : Rediscovering the Lost Scrolls of Taoist Christianity ~ by Martin Palmer, 2001, religion
REPORT on DONNA

My roommate Donna had knee replacement surgery on Tuesday, came home on Thursday, and has been doing her twice-daily exercises.  She's walking and doing great.   The apartment complex where we live has given her a handicapped spot with our apartment number so it's all hers.

The Sunday Salon's Facebook page has links to other blogs.

Glad to hear that Donna is recovering well.

I'd never heard of book nests, but find it a fascinating idea! I'd stick to the bottom row because of my fear of climbing, but would prefer the roomier quarters of the blue shirted fellow.

Shirley, I don't think book nests exist anywhere other than in this artists's imagination, but it's a fun idea.

Glad to hear Donna is recovering well. My dad is almost 6 weeks out and has his follow up appointment this week. I hope the report is good.

I also pick the third guy from the top. Definitely don't want to lie on my stomach or have to sit up ram-rod straight

As a teenager, I could lie on my stomach to read, like the fellow in the fourth one down. If I tried that now, I'd have back spasms.

So happy to hear that Donna is doing well.

Oh, I love the book nests! I also like the third one---I like cozy little spaces that I can curl up in. Or how about a book nest with a porch swing...and a window? :-)
